Stickleyville Cottage

Stickleyville Cottage is located on Rhea Rasnic Road, just off Highway 58 in the Stickleyville community of Lee County. Nestled on 36 acres of beautiful mountainous landscape, the cottage provides a peaceful and scenic setting for healing and growth. Stickleyville Cottage can accommodate up to eight girls, ages 5–18.

The home features two large bedrooms, which the girls are encouraged to personalize with their stuffed animals, photos of family and friends, and other comforting touches. Each girl is also allowed a small pet in her room—such as a fish, guinea pig, hamster, or ferret—which helps foster responsibility and companionship. A spacious living room serves as the heart of the home, offering a cozy space for devotions, movie nights, and board games.

The combined kitchen and dining room is truly the heart of the cottage. Here, staff prepare home-cooked meals, and every evening, the girls and staff gather around the table to share food, stories, and fellowship. These shared meals build trust and create opportunities for connection. We also focus on helping the girls develop important life skills. Staff often teach them how to cook, bake, and maintain a clean kitchen—equipping them for greater independence in adulthood.

Ruby Dobson Cottage

Ruby Dobson Cottage is a spacious log home, built in 2004 and opened in 2005. Its construction was made possible entirely through generous donations and volunteer labor—a testament to the heart and support behind our mission. The home’s welcoming wrap-around porch provides a peaceful spot to sit, relax, and enjoy the breathtaking mountainous landscape.

The cottage features three large bedrooms and can accommodate up to ten boys, ages 5–18. Two additional rooms are reserved for our live-in residential counselors. Each boy is encouraged to decorate his room with items that bring comfort and joy, making the space truly his own. As an added source of companionship and responsibility, the boys may also keep small pets such as a fish, turtle, hamster, guinea pig, or ferret.

At the heart of the home is a large combined dining and family room, where staff and boys gather to enjoy delicious home-cooked meals and meaningful conversation. These shared moments help build connection, foster trust, and create a strong sense of family.

At Harvest, we believe that quality time and recreation are essential for healthy development. They help children build creativity, form secure attachments, and gain valuable life skills. Ruby Dobson Cottage includes two dedicated spaces for indoor recreation: an upstairs family room and a basement recreation area featuring a foosball table and weight bench—both popular hangouts for the boys.
